The Qur'an majlis was planned over three days from Saturday 9th Ramdhan to Monday 11th Ramadhan. Monday being a Holiday in the UK, we saw mumineen gathered in large numbers. Recitation was done in three phases - 10 Siparas on each day.

In June 2009, Syedi Mazoon Saheb, Syedi Khuzaima Bhaisaheb Qutbuddin Saheb (TUS), met with the President of Singapore, Sellapan Ramanathan at The Istana, Singapore. The President received Syedi Mazoon Saheb TUS and local jamaat members with warmth and Syedi Mazoon Saheb conveyed a message of greeting from Huzurala TUS to the President. The meeting lasted for 45 minutes, during which a wide variety of topics were discussed including the Bhendi Bazaar redevelopment project in Mumbai in which the President took particular interest. At the close of the meeting, the President asked Syedi Mazoon Saheb to convey his greetings to Huzurala TUS.

Shk Mustafabhai Attarwala conducted 2 workshops for Zakereen on 22 & 29 Aug. It was attended by over 150 Zakereen of Pune. The workshops concentrated on learning and practising the kalaams that are to be prayed in Ashara 1431 Raat ni Majlis'. As there are 3 1/2 months left for Ashara and the kalaams that are to be prayed are already available, Zakereen around the world have enough time to train and prepare themselves.
